"Progress, or How to Make a Movie"

Just some behind-the-scenes sound work for the "Alien Vs. Jason" revamp.

Progress, or How to Make a Movie from Jay Wallace on Vimeo.

Note regarding videos: After seeing the video on YouTube, I think I'll be uploading the next vid with a better resolution. Same for the Vimeo page. Just thought I'd let you all know.

EDIT: Just listened to it. Sound screw up is with Vimeo, not the video itself. See YouTube page for better sound right here.

Cast and Crew Positions for "How to Maim the Undead"

-Main Characters-

Willis – The lead singer of local garage band “Morons Without Brains.” (MWB) He’s a charming, laid-back, low-key dude without a care in the world – he enjoys hanging around with his friends. But when things go south, he can easily step up and lead the way, even when he’s in way over his head. Looking for actor with singing/rapping experience.

Bluford – the bass guitarist for MWB. He’s a bit awkward, easily distracted, and has a short attention span, but he’s a well-meaning and level-headed guy. Looking for actor with bass guitar experience.

Macy – the snarky female drummer for MWB. She’s 100% tomboy, always on the defensive and ready to hold her ground physically and verbally. She can show up guys twice her size and ego. She does have a sweet side, but never shows it. Looking for actress with drumming experience.

Geoff – an aimless convenience store clerk trying to escape from his average life. Friends with members of MWB. When the zombies attack, he discovers his hidden gift involving weaponry, becoming the sharpshooter of the group.

Riker – the lead guitarist of MWB. The ladies’ man of the group; exudes confidence. He not cocky though – he’s as friend and likeable as Willis, who’s been his best friend since elementary school. Looking for actor with guitar playing experience.

-Supporting Characters-

Bryan – Geoff’s equally aimless coworker who meets an untimely demise.

Dr. Richard Hunter – Chief Medical Scientist for McPharllen Industries. The father of the character Hunter. He gets bitten by an infected animal, and subsequently starts the zombie invasion. Looking for actor age 30+.

Mary – an animal rights activist who meets an untimely demise.

Larry – an animal rights activist who meets an untimely demise.

Jerry – an animal rights activist who meets an untimely demise.

Napoleon Ripoffamite – Only needed for one scene. A fellow resident the MWB knows of (that looks and acts suspiciously like the title character in “Napoleon Dynamite”) who meets an untimely demise. If you can impersonate Jon Heder, call or email.

-Other Characters-

Zombies – Be prepared to be slathered in makeup and fake blood, stumble around moaning, bite people, and get shot at with fake guns. Multiple roles possible.

Guards – Only needed for one scene. Dressed in black and armed with guns. A few lines will be spoken by these characters before they are mauled to death and rise as zombies.

-Crew Members-

Director of Photography/Camera Operator – In charge of lighting scenes, setting up shots and operating the camera. A resume, reel, or clips of past projects will be asked for. (Movie will be shot in Black and White, so experience shooting B&W is a plus.)
